The 5th graders had a great time at the track meet on Tuesday!  They all did great on their events, and they were great cheerleaders for their classmates too!  Thank you to Mr. McDougall for taking so many wonderful photos!  Here is the link to all of the pictures...

Track Meet

This is just a reminder that we have the track meet on Tuesday Afternoon.  Please be sure your 5th grader wears their school uniform to school on Tuesday, but brings their gym uniform and tennis shoes to school with them, so they can change before we leave for the track meet.  We are leaving on the bus at 11:15.  Please email me if you have any questions.

Brewer Game

Just a reminder that we are going to the Brewer game on Thursday.  Please remember that your child will either need to pack a lunch to eat on the bus, or bring money to purchase food at the stadium.  In class we discussed Miller Park rules about carry-in food/beverage items, which can be found at www.milwaukeebrewers.com under the A-Z stadium guide.  We also discussed the information that went home in the newsletter, about what they are supposed to wear.  If you have any additional questions about Thursday, please feel free to contact me!

**If you are picking your 5th grader up at school when we return, I sent an email about how I will be contacting parents about our return arrival time.

I am so excited for the game, and I know the students are as well!!    GO BREWERS!!

Missing Work

Just a reminder that all missing work is due on Tuesday in order to be able to go to the Brewer game on Thursday.  All 5th graders were given a list of work they were missing on Friday.  Any missing work must be turned in on Tuesday, and includes work that is due on Monday and Tuesday of the upcoming week.

Spelling List for next week

I forgot to send the spelling list for next week home today.  However, I put the correct list up on the blog under the spelling list link, so you can access it there, or it is also on Spelling City.  I will send a copy of the spelling list home on Monday.

Bonus Casual Day!!

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders have earned an extra casual day for winning a Box Top competition!!  Mrs. Statz, Mrs. Gilmore, and I have decided that Friday, April 17th will be our bonus casual day.  This is for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students only!

St. Patrick's Day

To Celebrate St. Patrick's day, students will be able to wear a green shirt with jeans or khakis on March 17th.  

Next Week

Next week starts the 3rd trimester!  I can't believe that we only have 1/3 of the year left...it has gone by so fast.  I am already getting a little sad that the year is coming to an end, but I am excited for the nice weather that will be coming with it!  

Just a few notes for next week:

1.  There is a Religion test on Tuesday

2.  There is a Science test on Thursday

3.  There is a unit 25 spelling test on Friday.  We were having so much fun in the gym playing games that the colonists played, that I forgot to run off the copy of the spelling list to send home today.  I did post on the spelling list link on this blog, incase anyone wants to get a head start on studying!  The spelling lists are in their mailboxes to be taken home on Monday.  

4.  Please continue to bring in pop tabs for our Lent collection.  Our class already has a nice collection started!  These pop tabs will be used to help the Ronald McDonald House!
